KOGWG collaborated with the Agency for Turkana Development Initiatives (ATUDIS) and the Turkana Extractives Consortium (TEC) to conduct the first-ever Community Land Management Committee (CLMC) elections in Turkana County. The elections were attended by over 400 members from the Kapese Village unit. The Turkana Adjudication officer, along with representatives from the County and sub-county administration, conducted the elections. The elected CLMC underwent an induction meeting and presented the duly filled CLA3 form, community register, and bylaws to the Land Registrar, Mr. Edwin Wafula. The Kapese CLMC is expected to receive a community registration certificate by the end of this week.
