Public Involvement, Volunteerism & Mentorship

As part of this program, CANCO runs a dynamic public involvement and mentorship initiative designed to nurture leadership and civic engagement.

This operates at three levels:

We engage skilled professionals who share our mission and contribute their expertise on a voluntary basis to support program design and implementation. We have engaged 13 professional volunteers to date

 

We recruit and train community members at project sites to serve as local ambassadors and outreach champions, strengthening grassroots ownership and sustainability.

We provide attachment, internship, and mentorship opportunities for undergraduate and

postgraduate students. This enables young professionals to gain practical experience while contributing meaningfully to conservation and development initiatives. We have worked with 30 interns to date
